London Office Of King & Wood Mallesons Evacuated After Solicitor Sent a Cheque Covered In Dog Sh*t

By |

A court has heard today that the London office of King & Wood Mallesons legacy firm Malleson Stephens Jaques had to be evacuated after a cheque covered in puppy excrement was sent to one of its lawyers.

The unfortunate recipient of the cheque (for £700) was associate Lisa Hirsowitz. According to Court News UK, Yanina Heuberger, 53, was the sender. She was spurred to act as she did after losing a case in the small claims court against Hirsowitz, who was her former tenant.

When Hirsowitz opened the envelope, a grey powder fell out. Soon after, a stampede of health and safety conscious lawyers began swarming to the exits of the firm’s offices on Old Broad Street.

A spokesperson for King & Wood Mallesons told Legal Cheek that "this is not something we are able to comment on."
