Hardwicke Chambers ‘shocked by the views’ of barrister who called for age of consent to be lowered to 13

Yesterday, Spiked published a highly controversial article about Operation Yewtree by Hardwicke Chambers barrister Barbara Hewson. In it, Hewson argued that the age of consent should be lowered to 13 to stop the persecution of old men like Stuart Hall, and suggested that sex assault victims shouldn’t get anonymity. Unsurprisingly, a storm has ensued…
