And it hasn’t avoided the notice of Clifford Chance’s senior and managing partners — Malcolm Sweeting and Matthew Layton, respectively — that near as dammit everyone in these islands is addicted to televised cookery programmes.
Therefore, the latest trinket doled out to wannabe lawyers doing a spot of work experience at the global magic circle giant is an apron bearing a trite greeting card-style banality.
One lucky recipient was Ella Sackville Adjei, a first-year classics student at Oxford University’s Wadham. Adjei did a “taster” at CC and received the thoughtful gift for her trouble.
Indeed, she was so overwhelmed by CC’s generosity and wit that she shared this image on The Twitter.
