Katie King and Tom Connelly reflect on the past few months of mental news stories

As summer comes to an end and autumn begins, it’s difficult not to look back on the last few months of legal news and think “what the hell just happened?”

A shock referendum result, a turbulent summer of politics, pay freezes, pay hikes, US firms thrashing the magic circle — sometimes fact really is stranger than fiction.

Here to bring some much-needed clarity to the situation are Legal Cheek‘s resident journos Tom Connelly and Katie King. Watch them reflect on the recent minefield of legal affairs news, offer their own opinions, and beg readers to send them presents.

Bottomless Bag of Toplessness of Lyle

Sorry. No one is interested in the personal opinions of people with no experience.

Why don’t you get some top bag people in, or the denizens of psychiatric institutions and her Majesty’s prisons who frequent this cite.

At least they have more experience at law.

Cite (sic). A deliberate mistake?

Or revealing of the ignorant mind behind the comment?

Keep going, Katie and Tom!

Katie's mum

Hi Alex!

Not Katie's mum

I find Katie very attractive … and she has an endearing habit of making the last syllable of her sentences a stressed syllable. She can talk about Brexit to me as much as she likes and I just don’t care if Charlotte P thinks this is sexist. Keep it going Katie and Tom and ignore the trolls … who cant stop reading your stories in any event.

I find legal cheek so partisan, so biased and so blatantly pro – EU and anti – Brexit.

Legal cheek – your coverage of the Brexit vote in the video: “crying lawyers”, Brexit “bunker rooms” (lol!) in city firms, fears of “pay freezes” and then conceding that there were no pay suspensions and even increases across the board!! At least TRY and hide your pro EU stance and total lack of objectivity……Such victorian hysteria – type responses to the vote, fin de siecle moral panic, Y2K virus style nonsense. ……

Made me laugh so much though.

6.05 pm scaredy cat. You actually watched it and it was a comedy act?
OK me watchee

Lord Lyle of Vastly Top Experience in Ba

Sorry nothing comedic about it, but a nice chat between a nice couple about an exceedingly boring subject, for me anyway. It was nice how they alluded to the opinions of top people throughout in affirmation of my critique ad supra.

You see an experienced lawyer knows what not to watch, not to read and not to say.

I haven’t watched this because Legal Cheek is gutter press, but I trust that I am in it. I am a BIG story.
