Top EU lawyers discuss vote implications; students ask the questions — with 50 free places up for grabs
Legal Cheek Careers is teaming up with elite law firm Shearman & Sterling to hold an exclusive Brexit or Bremain debate.
A panel of three leading specialist lawyers from the firm will answer questions from an audience of 50 students in an hour-long session followed by drinks and networking. You can apply to attend below.
The event will take place on Wednesday 15 June — a week ahead of the UK’s biggest political decision of the century — at Shearman & Sterling’s City of London office. After the hour-long Q&A, running between 6-7pm, there will be drinks and networking until 8pm.
The panellists include the firm’s graduate recruitment partner, James Webber, who last year was selected by Global Competition Review as one of the ’40 under 40′ brightest antitrust lawyers in the world. He will be joined by two further Shearman & Sterling representatives.
Which way is the historic referendum likely to go? What would be the respective implications of Brexit or Bremain for City lawyers — and wannabe City lawyers? And how is Shearman’s highly rated EU competition law team approaching the lead-up to the vote?
