The London Legal World Is a Small One (Just Ask I’m a Celebrity’s Nads And Hugo)

Watching I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here the other night, I was unexpectedly reminded of the words of legal recruitment queen Dominique Graham, who once warned me of the London law scene being an “amazingly small pool, almost a village”

Nadine Dorries MP provided evidence of this village mentality when she told her fellow I’m A Celebrity contestant Hugo Taylor: “Your dad [Tim Taylor QC (pictured below)] gave my daughter [one of whom is Mishcon De Reya trainee solicitor Philippa Dorries (pictured below)] the keys to his flat to look after his roof garden while he was away – she lives next door.”

“Did he!?” responded a shocked Hugo. “He’s never given me keys for his flat!”

For enthusiasts, the conversation is at 10:45 in the video below.

Sadly, the pair (Nads and Hugo, not Tim and Philippa) have since fallen out following a bust-up over the best way to cook asparagus.
