On the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, photographer Peter Macdiarmid has released a series of photos of the UK during the conflict — including one taken outside the Royal Courts of Justice.
The scene today
According to BuzzFeed, the image was captured on 9 November 1918 — the last days of World War I. The Serbian soldiers were marching as part of the Lord Mayor’s show.
