Facebook post by Liverpool John Moores law graduate has over 7,000 likes and almost 5,000 shares — and sees her inundated with responses.

Last week a 22 year-old law graduate called Aimee Pye posted this status update on Facebook. It features an impassioned plea for someone to give her any sort of legal job, alongside a selfie taken with a pigeon in a quirky bid to illustrate her approachability.

Pye — whose LinkedIn profile states that she graduated in 2013 with a 2:2 from Liverpool John Moores University — echoes many law graduates who have missed out on training contracts in her complaint that she is unable to meet law firms’ requirement for paralegal experience because no one will give her a chance to gain that experience. The full text of her post is below.

Since first appearing on Tuesday, the post has received viral-levels of likes and shares, and has seen Pye swamped with responses. According to her Facebook page, on the back of it she has already had an interview for a position with an alternative business structure (ABS) called Autonet Law.

Indeed, so high has been the level of interest generated by the post that Pye has put together a list of frequently asked questions (screen-shotted below) to assist interested parties.

In the latest instalment of the story, Pye has appeared on a Liverpool radio station to discuss her quest to become a lawyer.

We’ll be keeping an eye on Pye’s progress as she bids to land a paralegal position or training contract. In the meantime, you can follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

UPDATE: 15:45 — Pye has bagged a job!
