Corporate lawyer monopoly is officially a thing
A management consultancy which specialises in advising law firms has risked offending its clients by creating a legal profession version of monopoly (pictured above).
Some law firms do quite well out of the game — for example, middle market City firm Bird & Bird is Pall Mall. Others do less well — Lewis Silkin is Old Kent Road. Although with the rise of Peckham and New Cross as increasingly pricey hipster destinations, perhaps Lewis Silkin shouldn’t be too offended.

Yes it is something of an affront that Mayfair has been awarded to “really rich American firm”, but hopefully British lawyers will be able to take some comfort from the fact that Slaughter and May is Park Lane.
