Dog 1 – Wig 0
Leeds-based barrister @Crimecounsel’s pet pooch is in the dog house. Tweeting a few days ago, the lawyer revealed what was left of a beloved horsehair wig — post dog demolition.
With wigs setting barristers back around £500 a pop, it was not only a bad day, but an expensive one too for the unnamed lawyer. However, as far as excuses go, “Sorry I am late, Your Honour, the dog ate my wig,” is surely up there with the best.
It’s not clear whether the dog has taken legal advice or how it will plead, but if pooch’s face is anything to go by, that’s a guilty.
