The legal apprenticeship scheme at Foot Anstey offers an alternative route to qualification. The aim of the game is to earn and gain boots-on-the-ground experience while completing a fully integrated law degree alongside your work.
At Foot Anstey, you’ll be supported before you even start. Apprentices meet their supervisor, buddy, and the early careers team and take part in an induction and skills masterclass to prep them to begin their careers. The apprenticeship begins in the firm’s managed legal services team, where newbies get an insight into how the firm operates and pick up essential legal, business and professional skills they can take with them throughout the scheme.
From third year onwards, apprentices continue their LLB studies while rotating around the firm’s teams as a paralegal. At this point, you will have the option to explore a variety of legal specialisms, identify the type of work that interests you most, and make informed decisions about your future qualification pathway.
Foot Anstey typically looks for students on-track for or who have already attained BBB or equivalent at A-level (or equivalent). However, the firm recruits contextually for all candidates. This means academics are not the be-all end-all for applicants and is used only as one measure of potential.
