Monday 17 November, 3pm to 5:30pm, taking place IN-PERSON at Addleshaw Goddard Manchester

Join us on the afternoon of Monday 17 November for an in-person student event at Addleshaw Goddard’s Manchester office.
With a strategy that aims to double the size of the firm by 2030 as a continuation of a period of rapid recent growth, Addleshaw Goddard has emerged as one of the global firms to watch in recent years. In particular, the firm boasts 15 European offices, including recent additions in Berlin, Madrid and Warsaw. Besides this, it has also seen a surge in its Middle East business, with offices located in Dubai, Doha, Muscat and Riyadh, and its Far East practice, where the firm is based out of Singapore. Roughly 25% of Addleshaw Goddard’s business is done for clients outside of the UK.
Time: 3pm to 5:30pm
Location: Addleshaw Goddard, Manchester
Level: Students, Graduates
Through a panel discussion, we’ll be exploring how the firm has worked collectively to facilitate this global growth, with lawyers from Addleshaw Goddard’s Manchester office discussing some recent cross-border transactions they have worked on to give insights into how an international law firm operates. They will also talk about the big commercial awareness themes affecting their practice areas.
The speakers
• Phil Dupres, partner in the infrastructure, projects and energy team
• Eleanor Chatterton, associate in the corporate team
• Bethany Robertson, associate in the disputes team
• Camran Shahid, trainee in the commercial team
The speakers will chart their career journeys, too, explaining why they chose their respective specialisms and what they enjoy most about their jobs, while offering advice to students hoping to follow a similar path.
There will then be networking over drinks and nibbles with the speakers, Addleshaw Goddard trainees and members of the firm’s early careers team.
Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the speakers.
This event is for current undergraduate university students and graduates only. For sixth form students, make sure to check out our other upcoming events.
