Monday 16 November, 3pm to 5:30pm, taking place IN-PERSON at Addleshaw Goddard Leeds

Join us on the afternoon of Monday 16 November for an in-person student event at Addleshaw Goddard’s Leeds office.

In 1775, the year of the very first public record of solicitors, Nicholas Smith founded Booth & Co in Leeds. Over the following 250 years, Addleshaw Goddard has grown from its Northern origins into a truly global law firm, advising clients in more than 100 countries and employing over 1,800 lawyers worldwide.

Date: Monday 16 November 2026
Time: 3pm to 5:30pm
Location: Addleshaw Goddard, Leeds
Level: Students, Graduates

Today, as the UK government begins to devolve power and investment away from London, new opportunities are emerging for businesses, investors and regional economies. Through a panel discussion hosted by a Legal Cheek journalist, lawyers from Addleshaw Goddard will examine what this decentralisation means in practice, how it is reshaping the commercial landscape, and why firms with deep regional roots and international reach are uniquely positioned to help clients navigate these changes.

The panel will provide an insight into the breadth of work undertaken by fee-earners at the Leeds office, from local projects to large-scale cross-border matters, as well as how the firm’s culture of innovation has made this all possible. Additionally, speakers will share their career journeys to date, whilst also offering practical advice for students interested in pursuing a career with Addleshaw Goddard.

The event will conclude with networking over drinks and nibbles with the speakers, Addleshaw Goddard trainees and members of the firm’s early careers team.

Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the firm.
