The anatomy of a data centre development — with Pinsent Masons

Monday 12 October, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually

Join us on the afternoon of Monday 12 October for a virtual student event with Pinsent Masons exploring how major data centre developments come together.

Data centres are now a critical part of the infrastructure of the digital economy, supporting everything from cloud services to the rapid growth of AI. Behind each development sits a complex mix of legal, commercial and practical considerations, requiring close coordination across different practice areas and jurisdictions.

Date: Monday 12 October 2026
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates

During the event, Managing Senior Associate Harriet Hayes and Senior Associate Emilia Turnock will break down the different stages of a data centre development. Drawing on a recent matter involving the purchase of a large data centre in Finland, they will explore how teams collaborate, where legal issues arise and how work is coordinated across borders.

Harriet and Emilia will also be joined by Partner Anne-Marie Friel to share their career journeys and reflect on the skills needed to work effectively on complex, cross-border matters.

Following the presentation and Q&A, there will be virtual networking with the speakers, Pinsent Masons trainees and members of the firm’s graduate recruitment team.

Apply to attend. You will be asked to submit two questions for the firm.
