Legal Cheek is teaming up with top commercial chambers Hardwicke and leading City law firm RPC to hold its latest ‘Commercial Awareness Question Time’ event.

The discussion — which takes place between 6-7pm on Wednesday 9 March at Hardwicke’s ultra-modern headquarters in the heart of traditional Lincoln’s Inn — will be led by Hardwicke barristers PJ Kirby QC and David Pliener, and RPC disputes partner Simon Hart and senior associate Amy Gallimore. Afterwards there will drinks and networking.

An audience of 40 students will grill the panel with questions about the big financial and legal news stories of the month — focusing particularly on commercial litigation-themed stories — in what will be a fantastic opportunity to impress some of the top lawyers at Hardwicke and RPC.

With Hardwicke and RPC having worked together on Accolade Wines v Volkerfitzpatrick — a six party £150 million property damage and business interruption claim that was one of the biggest recent cases in the Technology and Construction Court — the lawyers will also share their litigation war stories and give students tips on how they can follow in their footsteps.

Develop your commercial awareness and place yourself at the head of the queue for pupillages and training contracts. Apply to attend here. You’ll be asked to submit a CV and two questions for the panel.

Students of all levels, both law and non-law, are welcome.
