The Global Financial Crime Blogging Prize — competition rules

To promote brevity and succinctness, there is a strict 1,000 word limit per entry.

Entries must be substantially about financial crime. If in doubt, please email us an outline of your idea in advance to journal@legalcheek.com.

Other than the word limit, Legal Cheek Journal style guidelines apply.

The competition is restricted to law students and law graduates. Joint honours students are eligible to apply but GDL students are not unless they have a law degree from another jurisdiction. If in any doubt about your eligibility, please email journal@legalcheek.com.

Legal Cheek‘s editorial staff will shortlist the top six entries, with the blogs in this shortlist then passed on to an independent judging panel to decide the winner and two highly commended pieces.

The competition prize has a maximum value of £500 and must be redeemed by September 2016.

The winner will be notified by email and receive his or her prize at BARBRI International’s summer party in their London offices on 4 July.

In consideration of Legal Cheek and BARBRI International providing the competition each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Legal Cheek and BARBRI International to feature any or all of the entries in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition, without compensation.
