Rumours are raging about the future of Tooks Chambers. Yesterday Respect Party politician Lee Jasper went public with this claim:
Just heard Tooks Court famous UK human rights legal chambers set to go into administration. Such a shame.

To which Tooks Chambers responded, after being contacted by Legal Cheek, that Jasper’s statement was “absolute rubbish”…
Later in the day, it emerged that two more barristers had joined the exodus from Tooks, with Adam Straw and Jude Bunting quitting Michael Mansfield’s set to join Doughty Street.
This morning, having received two anonymous tip offs overnight echoing Jasper’s tweet, we contacted Tooks again. This time the set refused to comment.
