Doctors v lawyers meme from TV series ‘Community’ racks up 35,000 views on Imgur this week
Why does an photo suddenly become very popular on image-sharing site Imgur? It’s a bit of a mystery, to be honest, even to the great minds at Legal Cheek.
The picture above is from NBC’s US TV series ‘Community’, which ran for five seasons and came to an end in May of this year.
The sitcom maps the life of “lawyer” Jeff Winger (played by actor Joel McHale). Suspended from his firm for having lied about having a law degree (yes, only suspended!), he is forced to attend community college to get the necessary qualifications to enable him to practise.
In this particular back-and-forth Winger is discussing with character Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi) the differences between doctors and lawyers.
This June plans were announced to make a sixth series of ‘Community’ due to demands from US audiences for more of the cult show.
