AI, fraud, and the future of law — with RPC

Wednesday 1 October, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually


Join us on the afternoon of Wednesday 1 October for a virtual student event with leading global law firm RPC. The theme is AI, fraud, and the future of law.

Leading the session will by Dan Wyatt, a partner in RPC’s commercial litigation team, and disputes of counsel Chris Whitehouse. The pair both have a strong technology slant to their practices, with Dan the current chair of the Crypto Fraud and Asset Recovery Network, and Chris one of the Network’s founding members.

During short talks and a panel discussion, they will assess the impact of AI on the legal profession and disputes specifically, consider how fraudsters are leveraging AI, assess the vulnerability to fraud of AI agents and explain how lawyers go after AI-enabled fraudsters.

They will also reflect on their career journeys and give advice to students hoping to follow a similar path.

The second half of the event will feature virtual networking with the speakers, RPC trainees and members of the firm’s graduate recruitment team.
