Tuesday 9 September, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually
Join us on the afternoon of Tuesday 9 September for a virtual student event with global law firm Clyde & Co.
As the regulatory landscape evolves, ethics is an increasingly central consideration for lawyers advising a wide range of commercial clients in fast-moving, high-stakes environments. These clients may also include fellow solicitors, who sometimes face allegations of breaching their own professional obligations. Representing such diverse clients requires both technical expertise and sound judgment, particularly when navigating complex conflicts of interest under the scrutiny of regulators, clients and the public.
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
Attendees will hear first-hand how Clyde & Co’s lawyers approach these sensitive situations, the skills and mindset needed to do so effectively, and the realities of working in areas where ethics and regulation are paramount. The speakers will also share their career journeys and offer guidance for students looking to secure a training contract in the current recruitment cycle.
The speakers
• Tom Bedford, partner specialising in the defence of claims against solicitors and regulatory investigations and proceedings
• Further speakers to be announced
After short talks and a panel discussion, there will be virtual networking with the speakers, Clyde & Co trainees and members of the firm’s early careers team.
Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the firm.
