How to choose an SQE Preparation Course — presented by BPP University Law School

Thursday 8 June, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually

Join us on the afternoon of Thursday 8 June for our latest virtual Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) themed event, run in partnership with BPP University Law School.

The new SQE regime offers flexibility regarding the timeline of study and routes available to aspiring solicitors. As such, there are many SQE course providers offering different ways to prepare for the SQE1 and SQE2 exams, as well as additional training to ready students for practice.

Date: Thursday 8 June 2023
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates

At the event we’ll be joined by BPP’s SQE tutors alongside SQE students to discuss the different factors to consider when deciding which course to choose; a vital career choice for aspiring lawyers. Over the course of an hour-long panel discussion the speakers will provide you with the tools to identify the right provider for you and the type of SQE preparation course which best suits your circumstances, strengths and career aspirations.

The speakers

Amelia Griggs, future trainee solicitor at Greenberg Traurig and current LLM student at BPP having passed SQE1 and recently sat SQE2
• Callum Martin, Macfarlanes BPP Scholarship recipient on the LLM SQE1 and 2
Jonny Hurst, BPP’s head of outreach and former City law firm partner
Laura Bains, programme lead at BPP and former practitioner

After the panel discussion there will be virtual networking with the BPP University Law School team for follow-up questions and further careers advice.

Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the speakers.
