How to demonstrate your commercial awareness — with BPP

Tuesday 10 February, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually

From day one, aspiring lawyers are told that commercial awareness is essential. But what does being commercially aware actually involve and how can students demonstrate it?

Join us on the afternoon of Tuesday 10 February for Legal Cheek’s latest virtual careers event, held in partnership with BPP University Law School. Led by Anna Mee, head of law at BPP Manchester, the workshop will unpack what commercial awareness really means and provide practical advice on how to develop it and show it in applications and interviews.

Date: Tuesday 10 February 2026
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates

Mee, who was formerly a solicitor specialising in M&A, private equity and public company advisory work, will also explore some of the key trends and issues shaping the legal sector and affecting law firms’ clients today.

Following the workshop, there will be virtual networking with the BPP team for follow-up questions and further careers advice.
