Tuesday 23 September, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.
Join us on the afternoon of Tuesday 23 September for a virtual student event with Osborne Clarke.
The theme is start-ups: we’ll be exploring how they’re founded, grow and integrate into the wider corporate ecosystem — and what role lawyers play in this process, from creative adviser to hard-headed dealmaker.
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
A panel of lawyers from Osborne Clarke will discuss their experiences in this always-interesting sector. They’ll explain how they helped to launch some now widely-known companies, reflect on the challenges they faced as they grew and discuss the choices more mature businesses face to go public with a stock market listing, be acquired by bigger rivals or continue to operate privately.
The speakers
• Anika Chandra, partner in the tax team, specialising in incentives
• Mathias Loertscher, partner in the corporate team
• Ed Grey, senior associate in the employment team
The speakers will also share insights from their own career journeys and give advice to students hoping to follow a similar path.
There will then be virtual networking with the speakers, Osborne Clarke trainees and members of the firm’s graduate recruitment team.
This event is now fully booked.
