BPP experts explain all
The SQE can feel like a daunting route to qualification, with two stages, multiple assessments and plenty of questions around costs, pass rates and how best to prepare. Getting a clear picture of how it all fits together is one of the best ways for aspiring solicitors to feel ready for what lies ahead.
At a recent virtual event, run in partnership with BPP University Law School, students got exactly that. The session offered a broad overview of the SQE, focusing on the things that matter most, from how it is structured across SQE1 and SQE2 and what each stage involves, to pass rates, preparation options, costs and more.
It was led by BPP’s director of outreach Jonny Hurst and SQE1 award leader Caroline Rayson, alongside SQE students Yasmin Elsayed and Nell Thompson, who shared practical insights to help aspiring lawyers get to grips with a route to qualification that many still find tricky to navigate.
The event then drew to a close, and once the live session ended, attendees stayed on for virtual networking with the BPP team, giving them the chance to ask follow-up questions and seek further advice on their SQE journey.
