BPP experts guide you through it

Negotiation is one of the core practical skills assessed in SQE2, and getting to grips with it early can give aspiring solicitors a real edge, both in the exam and in practice. At a recent virtual workshop, run in partnership with BPP University Law School, students got the chance to do exactly that.

Led by heads of law Hilary Chadwick and Charlotte Wanendeya, the session walked students through how to approach negotiations strategically and effectively, with practical insights into preparation techniques, communication skills and the common pitfalls to watch out for.

Students then put theory into practice through an interactive negotiation exercise. Once the live session ended, attendees stayed on for virtual networking with the BPP team, giving them the chance to ask follow-up questions and pick up further careers advice. Watch the full session using the embedded YouTube video at the top of this post.
