Law Revision #Pippatips

It’s exam time, and the legal blogosphere is awash with revision tip articles – rather too many of which evoke Pippa Middleton’s party planning guide Celebrate in their enthusiasm for stating the obvious. So, inspired by satirical Twitter sensation @Pippatips, we’ve added our tuppence worth…

1. Get some sleep! Because by sleeping you’ll be less tired and remember more.

2. Learning case names is a great way to pick up marks in the exam.

3. Highlighters provide an opportunity to frame key sections of text in brightly-coloured pen.

4. Mock exams are brilliant practice for the real thing.

5. By not repeatedly going out and getting drunk in the run up to exams you’ll find yourself not only feeling fresher but also have more time to study.

6. Remember what you have learned and you’ll greatly boost your chances of passing with flying colours and landing that coveted training contract or pupillage in the future.

7. Panic is a sudden sensation of fear which is so strong as to dominate or prevent reason and logical thinking, replacing it with overwhelming feelings of anxiety and frantic agitation consistent with an animalistic fight-or-flight reaction. So instead relax and you’ll be sure to enjoy better results.

8. Eating is the perfect route to replenishing your energy levels in the run up to those all important exams.

9. A good trick to brighten yourself up during revision can be to take a break.

10. Turning up for the exam on time is a fab way to get off to a great start on exam day.
