BPP experts show you how it’s done
With the 2026 training contract application cycle fast approaching, the question of how, and how much, to use AI in written applications remains a hot topic for aspiring solicitors. At a recent virtual workshop, run in partnership with BPP University Law School, students got some much needed clarity.
Led by BPP careers development consultants Tyler Austin and Laura Rugadza, the interactive session broke down the various ways AI can be used to enhance a written application, from supporting research to refining the final draft. The pair also addressed where the line sits between sensible use and misuse of AI tools, and how applicants can avoid becoming overly reliant on them at the expense of their own voice and judgement.
Once the live session ended, attendees stayed on for virtual networking with the BPP team, giving them the chance to ask follow-up questions and pick up further careers advice on their training contract applications. Watch the full session using the embedded YouTube video at the top of this post.
Legal Cheek is running ‘The SQE series’ with BPP University Law School. The video of each session will be made available one month after each virtual event together with further FAQs arising from each session which SQE experts from BPP are answering.
