First ‘Con Air’, then ‘Breaking Bad’ and now … Bergener Mirejovsky

Hollywood actor Danny Trejo has had a glittering acting career, from 90s classics such as Con Air and Heat, to more recently in Breaking Bad.

Known for his hard man, no-nonsense persona, he is arguably a strange choice to front a promotional campaign for a personal injury law firm. But over in the US that’s exactly what has happened.

Los Angeles-Born Trejo has starred in short promotional video for personal injury specialist law firm Bergener Mirejovsky. The firm — which has offices spread across California — has opted for the veteran actor in a bid to haul in the clients.

The advert, which originally appeared on YouTube last month, has attracted more than 25,000 views over the past 24-hours after it was reposted on viral-video site Break.com.

Trejo — wearing an all leather ensemble and exposing a tattooed torso — explains to viewers that the ‘Boogy-man’ fears him and Waldo is hiding from him. In his gravelly tones he continues:

But if I get in an accident, I am calling the boss, James Bergener.

For the avoidance of doubt, that’s managing partner James Bergener. But arguably the best bit of the 30-second clip isn’t Trejo himself but the small print that follows his short monologue. It reads:

Danny Trejo isn’t an attorney or a client. He’s a paid badass. If you need to take down a drug cartel on-screen, hire Danny. But if you need to take down an insurance company in real life, hire Bergener Mirejovsky. Attorneys licensed in California.

This side of the pond, rumours that Danny Dyer is to appear in a Slaughter and May TV campaign remain unconfirmed.
